Ibn-e-Insha was one of Pakistan's best known humorists. Urdu - The Final Book is ostensibly a parody of certain textbooks prescribed for schools, which often contain rather banal and uninspired passages for study. The jokes reflect commonly held misconceptions of history, geography, sciences, etc., which people tend to repeat without questioning their veracity.
There are also many humorous comments on the common failings of government and administration, which specifically concern life in Pakistan, but which maybe applied to any country in the world.
